AKAPULU LABS BIOMETRIC INFORMATION NOTICE Last updated: 2026-10-21 This Biometric Information Notice explains how Akapulu LLC, doing business as Akapulu Labs ("Akapulu Labs," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and retains biometric information from a landing-page demo. By connecting to a landing-page demo, you agree to the Akapulu Labs Privacy Policy. By connecting, you also consent to this Notice. In this Notice, words and phrases such as "including," "for example," and "such as" mean "including, without limitation." 1. What Akapulu Labs collects Akapulu Labs records the audio and video of a landing-page demo. The recording includes your face and your voice when the camera or microphone is on. That face and voice recording is biometric information. 2. How Akapulu Labs uses it Akapulu Labs uses the recording for internal quality assurance of the conversation experience and to train and improve Akapulu Labs' own models. Akapulu Labs does not use the recording to create an avatar of you. Catalog avatars are generated. They are not a recording of a particular person. Akapulu Labs does not record a person to create an avatar of that person. 3. Sharing Akapulu Labs does not sell biometric information. Akapulu Labs does not share landing-page demo recordings for other companies to train their models. A recording may still be stored and processed by infrastructure and storage providers that host the call or store the recording for Akapulu Labs. 4. Retention Akapulu Labs retains a landing-page demo recording for internal quality assurance and to train Akapulu Labs' own models. A recording may be kept as training data unless you request deletion and applicable law requires deletion. 5. Requests To ask a question or request deletion, contact [email protected]. The Akapulu Labs Privacy Policy describes the rest of our data practices. 6. Earlier versions Earlier versions of this Notice described recording a person to create an avatar of that person. Akapulu Labs no longer offers that workflow. Those versions remain in the changelog. Acceptances of an earlier version stay on record. Earlier versions also said consent required the landing page to state that the call is recorded before you connect.
