On-camera talent (2–3 min self-tape) for AI avatar

Akapulu Labs is a conversational avatar platform — we use short (2–3 minute) recordings to train lifelike avatars that look and sound like you on camera. Your avatar will be featured in our public catalog and used by Akapulu Labs users in real-time conversations. We are seeking English-speaking on-camera talent.

About the project

Each talent records a single 2–3 minute self-tape in 1080p or higher. Your video and audio are used to create a public avatar that Akapulu Labs users can speak with in real time and that we may showcase in promotional content.

The role

You will record one continuous take that lasts 2–3 min. We supply a concise outline for this self-tape.

What we are looking for

Environment

  • Professional, visually appealing background (styled office, bookshelf, or tasteful decor — no plain walls or empty rooms)
  • Bright, even face lighting — avoid harsh backlighting or strong shadows
  • Quiet room, minimal echo, no background noise
  • 1080p or better, landscape, stable framing (1920×1080 preferred)

On camera

  • Formal or professional attire
  • Clear English diction (U.S. accent preferred), natural, upbeat, and friendly
  • Confident delivery with expressive speech and a professional on-camera presence

Deliverables

  • One 2–3 minute video/audio recording that meets the specs above
  • Signed electronic release (e-signature) we send you before recording

Payment

Compensation is competitive per approved recording, paid after the video passes our technical and performance checks.

Usage & release

After initial screening call, if approved, we send a short e-signature agreement to sign before you record. It covers voice, likeness, and how the public avatar may be used. You can request removal of your public avatar at any time.

Process

  1. Quick ~10-minute video call to walk through the project and confirm your real recording setup.
  2. We email you a short e-signature agreement to sign before you record (voice, likeness, public-avatar and marketing use; removal on request, per the agreement).
  3. Record the self-tape — about 2–3 minutes of capture once you are set up.
  4. We review the deliverable and issue payment upon approval.
